Texas Health Resources announced that its wholly-owned and joint venture hospitals will become part of an existing Medicare Shared Savings program ACO. Texas Health Hospitals will be a part of Premier Patient Health Care’s existing ACO in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Premier is an independent physician organization serving the area since 2013. Texas Health Resources owns or operates 24 hospitals and has outpatient facilities, behavioral health and home health services.
Presbyterian Healthcare Services announced that it is launching an ACO with UnitedHealthcare, for 12,300 New Mexico residents enrolled in UnitedHealthcare’s employer-sponsored health plans. Presbyterian Healthcare is a not-for-profit integrated system with eight hospitals, more than 100 clinics and a medical group with more than 100 physicians. UnitedHealthcare has implemented 520 accountable care agreements across 48 states, including 11 million enrollees.
